Best Music In The TV Shows

5-O

There have been some cracking tunes on our screens through the years when we have sat down to watch our favourite television shows but what are the best ones out there and is it because they have used any instrument like guitars in particular or just because they are great theme songs?

The A Team

This is one of the most recognised tunes in television history without a doubt. This one combined drum kits and outrageous guitar playing to make it one of the most loved themes ever, they are actually trying to remake a film for this that is released this year. Is this going to be a bad movie, without any of the original cast members, I think so.

The Saint

Everyone must remember those doo doos from the saint theme tune? Although Moore had been in other things this is the show that kick started the career as his character was a lot like Bond’s. There are not many people out there that actually know exactly when Roger Moore was approached for the role of Bond, some say it was when Dr No was in talks. During his years on The Saint he was asked many times but could never say yes due to the film constraints.

Hawaii 5-O

This has to be my favourite television theme song of all time. It ran for an amazing twelve seasons from 1968-1980. You knew what was being watched from the other side of the house when the music started on this one. Whenever this tune was on I remember always having a bit of a dance to it.

is there anything that makes some of these songs so good? It has to be a combination of everything from guitar amplifiers to the genius creators behind the pieces of music themselves. If you haven’t heard any of these then give them a listen too!

Kanye West Incident Is Typical Of Our Society

Even those not interested in entertainment news will have seen or heard about the video footage of Kanye West jumping on the stage during the 2009 MTV video awards whilst Taylor Swift was making her acceptance speech.

Taylor is no idol of mine, and I think the MTV video awards are a waste of time, but really – it was her big moment. As a society, has all respect and decorum been forgotten about? Apparently so, after looking at the lyrics that Kanye uses in his songs. Now having done that, and ruined my appetite for the day, I really don’t think it’s that out of character for him.

Which brings me to another point – why does pop music have to be so freakin’ lifeless? Most of the stuff in the charts is just crap icing on top of crap cake. These days I just can’t be bothered with pop music. It probably says something about our culture that we don’t even care to think beyond the shallowest levels in anything that we do. All most people want is pithy, nonsensical platitudes in our music and copies of copies for the rest of their lives.

Yet that’s another tangent altogether, so let’s get back to Kanye the moronic egomaniac. Should we be surprised? Probably not In a world where idiocy is rewarded with airplay and publicity, more of the same can be expected. Everybody wants their five minutes of fame even should it be someone elses five minutes of fame that you’re taking. I have no idea why we should take any notice of what these people say or do. Do they have any qualifications that would make me want to value their opinion?

Of course, the same is true here – who cares what I say or do? Who I am to be giving my opinion??  I love to rant and rave about anything that crosses the circuits in my little brain – whether I’m qualified to comment on it or not.

I guess I should try writing pop music…

American Idol Premier Brings Forward Some Early Favorites

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

Okay, so I’m probably the one of the few people who don’t really get into American Idol. I remember when it first started and I was so surprised by the show thinking that it would be a flop. When the second season rolled around I realized I couldn’t be more wrong. The show continues to not only survive but thrive, and shows following the same model come out like Americas Got Talent. Why good old television can’t make a comeback I don’t know.

Now 7 seasons later and it’s bigger than ever. Just about every age demographic likes American Idol, which makes it an advertisers dream playground to push their products on teens and the people who buy them stuff.I have to admit though that this season may end up being a guilty pleasure. I can’t even pry my girlfriend away from the TV when the show is on, and once I start watching something I generally have a hard time stopping.

I love see watching the beginning shows for the awful performances of wanna be idols. I don’t even believe that the really bad people are even legitimate, they just want to get 15 minuets in the spotlight. There are a few really talented people on this season including Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver, and Matt Giraud.

I can admit that it’s great that there are many talented people who get found because they are on the show, but the whole reasoning behind it is kind of tainted in my mind. Many many talented artists out there work hard everyday to get the big one and have no hope of ever getting a contract, but these “idols” seem to have it served on a silver spoon.Almost everyone who has ever won the show is a bum now, except Kelly Clarkson from season 1. But this could be it, my season to fall in love with this natural phenomena, I just hope it doesn’t cut into my sleep too much. I can’t wait to see who makes it all the way to the end.
