The big single Everybody Hurts was out on the 8th of February and many artists have gotten together to help the people of that tragic earthquake. Why is this important?
The Earthquake
It reached a massive 7.0 on the Richter scale which is massive and it was right next to the town of Leogane. By late January there has been over 50 afterschocks and these measured at around 4.5 or above. Over 3 million people are said to be affected by this quake and 200,000 people are already confirmed dead with more and more lost and injured. 250,000 residences and 30,000 commercial buildings have collapsed or have been severely damaged.
The world can really get together when it comes to things such as this. Many millions have been sent by countries from all over the world to help out these people and many more millions are set to be sent across.
How About The Song
The song has gone on sale today and every single penny goes towards helping the people of the country out. Gordon Brown has even said that every penny from the tax of this album will also go to charity, how generous. With a combination of electric guitars, Drum kits and of course DJ equipment and celebrities it is safe to say this song will be a hit.
