You should also allot regular schedules throughout the week in order to hasten the improvement of your skills. Pick the right time of the day where you know you will be able to perform well. Also think about preparing all the things that you will need when you practice. Basic necessities are a chair, pencils, music pieces, music stand, and of course, the cello. When you have everything you need, you won’t be wasting time during practice to get, for instance, a pencil. 

Before starting the practice session, you should also make sure that you are prepared mentally and physically. If you are thinking about other things, you should take them off your mind for the meantime. Concentrate on the job at hand to maximize the benefits of your practice session.
