How Much Music Can Your Speakers Deliver?

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

Have you already encountered the phrase, “Music can heal”? Actually science also agrees that music is a natural healer. Well, even you yourself can tell that a good music is a wonderful thing in itself. No wonder many loves listening music or having sound trips. But you may be also aware that a good sound depends greatly on the speakers you may use. Poor speakers only produce a sound that is also poor. This will likely impair your listening enjoyment.

But at last, many great speakers are now available to be found. There are the speakers from HiFi systems which produce sound that can carry you away. For your information, the term HiFi is a short form of the phrase High Fidelity. It was typically used to describe the reproduction of sound or images in their purest type or form. HiFi speakers produce sound clearly. This is because HiFi speakers are made to offer minimal distortion and free of background noise.

With HiFi speakers, you can listen to music or songs which are seemingly live. This is for the reason that the sound being produced is as original as possible. No further enhancements are involved. This makes HiFi speakers truly a source of entertainment and refreshment.

In any musical device, speakers play the most vital role. Using better speakers would mean more entertaining and refreshing music to listen. There are HiFi speakers that are already in-built to the system while others have to be fixed to a pair.

HiFi systems offered the following features that include the speakers, power output, audio video receivers and connectors. HiFi speakers are designed to produce sound with high quality so that users will comfortably enjoy their favorite music. These speakers can be categorized as highly developed technology which helps to produce sound in a better way.

HiFi systems are available in three types: midi, mini, and micro. The largest of these types are the midi systems which come with multi CD playing capability, cassette deck, etc. Similar to midi in features is the mini systems which come a bit smaller in size. The smallest among the three types is of course no other than the micro systems.

Do you really want to enjoy listening to music to the fullest? Use speakers that won’t distort the sound but instead provide you sound in a more effective way. Nowadays, HiFi speakers are becoming more and more popular because of the high quality sound they produce.

So if you are looking for a personal sound system for your room or simply for your house, you can always opt for HiFi speakers. In addition, HiFi systems are a lot cheaper compared to home theatre systems. So aside from the high quality of sound it produces through its speakers, these systems are a lot more practical to buy.

These days of hardships, it is obvious that we want to spend our hard earned income in a cost-effective way even without sacrificing our own pleasure. HiFi speakers will just do that for you.

The Beginner’s Guide To Learning To Play The Guitar

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

You have a guitar. You have a quiet place to practice. You have the enthusiasm, drive, and ambition to learn how to play. Where do you go from here?

Beginning Guitar Lessons

Many beginners that get discouraged when they start out. This is because they simply do not know how to learn to play guitar. The trick is to find the best guitar lessons to keep you focused. At times, it can be difficult to start, but it will get easier as you continue on.

It is incredibly difficult to learn to play a guitar, or any instrument, without help. You need a clear and proven lesson plan set forth by an experienced instructor. Playing around on the strings is fine, if that is what you want, but a serious guitarist needs a serious plan.

Beginner guitar playing lessons are the best way to stay on track and progress at a steady rate. The only problem is that there are so many different lessons and methods to choose from. This makes it difficult to find the right one for you, and you need to know what to look for.

Many people will choose private guitar lessons, but this is not recommended for beginners. The reason for this is that the basics can be learned effectively without the exorbitant cost of a private instructor. Also, most instructors are biased toward a certain style of playing, and this may not be conducive to the style that you wish to play. Finally, the benefit of one-on-one instruction can easily be lost in the short, half-hour sessions that you will have.

The best way to learn guitar, for a beginner, is through through a home study course. They are much cheaper than private instructors, and you can learn at your own pace. They can be adapted to your own style, and they are usually written by an accomplished instructor. You receive the same quality of instruction, as often as you want, and at a fraction of the cost.

One of the best home study courses is Learn and Master Guitar. You pay only a one-time fee to access the material, and you are provided with written material, as well as a corresponding DVD and CD. It is much more than just a beginner lesson. It will, of course, get you started, but there are many advanced techniques, as well.

Learn and Master Guitar is not a free pass. They offer 24 free beginner courses, but to really progress, they offer a six month course for only $119. Compare that to over $150 per month for private lessons, and it’s still the better deal.

If you are looking to invest a little less in your guitar lessons, you can try Jamorama.com, as well.

While these two services are an excellent starting point, they are not your only option. If you choose to look elsewhere, there are some important things to consider. First, make sure that the course is written by a reputable author. You will need lessons that are well structured, starting out easy and gradually progressing as you do. There should be a wide variety of lessons and skill levels which allow you to play popular songs that you are familiar with. The lessons must be easy to follow, and of course, make sense. The lessons should include both written music and guitar tabs. Finally, and possibly most importantly, the lessons must teach you the exercises, chords, scales, and advanced techniques that will help you succeed.

Make sure you do plenty of research before deciding. The best choice for learning the guitar has to be worth the money you spend.

Learning How to Play the Electric Guitar

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

The acoustic guitar has a very unique sound and quality to it, but I haven’t found anything that compares to the sound of an electric guitar.

Learning Electric Guitar

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you are never to old to learn to play the electric guitar. Learning to play is actually a lot easier to do than many think.

One thing though is that you have to commit yourself 100%. You also have to be excited to learn and dedicated to the electric guitar. If you don’t want to take the time to play everyday than the electric guitar isn’t for you.

Playing this instrument takes a lot of time and patience. You have to make daily goals for yourself and also weekly plans in order to really master this instrument. If you are able to set these up then you will definitely be able to learn how to play an electric guitar.

There are three steps that you need to learn:

1.    You need to find an electric guitar that you like and are comfortable with.
2.    You need to have a quiet place to concentrate and practice.
3.    You need to either get an instructor to help you or get online electric guitar lessons.
4.    Practice, practice, practice.

The first two steps really should go without saying. Obviously, you need a guitar in order to play and you also need to have a place to play it. The third step is really something that will help you with the fundamentals and making sure you are getting the correct hand positioning. The fourth step however is the most important. Without this you will never learn to play the electric guitar.

There are many different methods to learning electric guitar. You always have the option of choosing a private instructor, or there are books and videos you can buy, or you can even get online electric guitar lessons. You need to choose the one that you are most comfortable with, just beware some of them are more costly then they need to be.

Many choose to go with an instructor. While not a bad choice it can get to be quite expensive, especially if you are a left handed player. They tend to charge extra fees for that. There’s also a lot more work involved with private instruction, plus you have to consider the extra time you will spend traveling back and forth. If this is what you are most comfortable with though then by all means go with this method.

If you don’t want to go that route though don’t worry there are other options for you. To be quite honest you have everything you need to get started with lessons right at home. All you have to do is go on the Internet. Many musicians learn on their own with the help of online resources. They can provide you with just as much information as an instructor can and you don’t have to leave your house to get it.

Many online resources offer information on:

How the electric guitar works
How to tune it
Electric guitar lessons
Different techniques and tricks
And they even have songs that you can play.

There is one website in particular that is a great resource and that is Learn & Master Guitar. This provides you with a DVD/CD and book set with all the information you will need. This method is a lot cheaper than going to an instructor.

No matter what method you choose to use in order to learn how to play the electric guitar, there will be some same information. These tips are very handy and key in your ability to successfully play the electric guitar

1.    Make sure you consistently and evenly strum.
2.    Rest your left thumb on the bottom of the neck, not the top of it.
3.    Start out by working on the rhythm and sound until you are familiar with each strings sound.
4.    Always keep your fingers close to each other, but not on the fret bar.
5.    Make sure that you press firmly on the string when playing either a note or chord.

Playing the electric guitar really isn’t that hard as long as you take the time to practice. Just remember that you must remain committed and dedicated to learning how to play if you truly want to learn electric guitar.

Learn Guitar Chords – Top 10 Mistakes

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

Learning guitar chords does not have to be difficult, but there are some mistakes that many beginners make that can be avoided.

The Top 10 Mistakes

1. Giving up too soon

No matter what you decide to learn, you will not get it right on the first try. This is especially true of guitar. When you learn the guitar chords, chances are that you will have some trouble, but you must stick with it. Many beginners give up on a chord at the worst possible time. They learn the finger position, and they can occasionally strum it cleanly, but they see no improvement from this point. Once you get to this point, it’s only a matter of time. You have the basics, you just need to keep practicing.

2. Lack of visualization

When you are forming a chord, visualization is very important. You have to “see” where each finger is going to move to before it happens. The best way to speed up your chord changes is to look at where your fingers currently are, and think about where they need to be. Then, you visualize the shortest route they need to take to get there. There are times when you won’t need to move much, because some of the basic chords use common notes.

3. Challenging yourself too much

Chord changes, or progressions, are the best way to master guitar chords. The problem is that many beginners choose difficult progressions, and get discouraged when they can’t get it right. Make sure you choose easier progressions, like G to A, E to A, or D to G. They might seem easy, but repetition will train you for the more advanced chord changes.

4. Lack of finger strength

Beginning guitarists do not understand the value of finger strength. This should be obvious, since the fingers are used to play the guitar. To build up your finger strength, a great thing to try is wide scale exercises. Also, there are other exercises involving pushing down hard on the string of your guitar, finger press-ups, or even finger weights.

5. Looking at your hands too often

Once you learn to play guitar chords, you should be able to do so without looking at your hands. The finger position should become second nature. You don’t see professionals looking down all the time while they’re playing, do you? You should be able to switch between open chords without looking at your hands.

6. Practicing one chord at a time

Through the use of books, videos, or even instructors, beginning guitarists have gotten into the habit of practicing only one guitar chord at a time. This is a huge mistake, and will actually take longer to learn. The best and fastest way to learn chords is in groups of three. When you give your brain a varying pattern of three chords to learn, this is more likely to solidify the information. It will help you remember the fingering, and it will help you learn chord progressions.

7. Hiding your pinky

It seems a little odd, but a great deal of beginners tend to move their pinky out of the way when it is not in use. All of your fingers should be hovering over the fretboard at all times. Getting into this habit will help you learn more advanced chords later.

8. Not understanding the root note

Many people do not know what the root note of a chord is. The root note is a chord’s bass note. It determines what string you begin strumming from. For example, the root note of an E chord is an E, played by strumming an open low E string, or your thickest string. What this means is that you begin strumming from the E string when you are playing an E chord.

9. Not picking the chord

When beginners are playing guitar chords, they will often notice dead notes within the chord. Usually, this is caused by a fingering problem. Many beginners will simply keep strumming the chord until they get it right. This is a brute force method of learning, and a great deal of wasted practice time. To avoid this, try picking the chord instead. By picking each individual string, you can isolate the problem area more efficiently. Then, you can apply more pressure on that string or fix your finger position to get a better note.

10. Not using all your senses

To make it easy to learn guitar chords, you should look at every angle. You should look at pictures of someone playing the chord, look at a chord chart, and even watch a video of someone playing the chord. This will help you learn where your fingers should be, and how to get them there. Of course, you can’t play a chord correctly until you have heard the way it is supposed to sound, as well. Processing all of this information will help you visualize the correct technique.

Beginning Guitar Lessons

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

So you’ve fulfilled all the basic steps towards learning how to play guitar. You’ve purchased a guitar, you found the ideal room to practice in, you have the energy you need as well as the enthusiasm and desire to become an expert, but still something’s missing. A few weeks passed since you’ve last played. Since then your guitar has been sitting in the corner untouched. You now feel that playing the guitar just isn’t for you. What made you change your mind?

Most likely you didn’t remain focused and on the right path. You must realize that getting through the initial guitar lessons is the most difficult phase. But it does get better. The more you practice and keep practicing, the easier it gets. Don’t worry! A lot of beginners get hung up at first.

I strongly believe you will never learn guitar lessons on your own. Before you can learn you’ll need assistance from an expert. Without training you’ll do nothing more than just “mess around”. Even if you figure out how to play part of a riff, you’ll accomplish nothing more than that. It’s not until you become absolutely serious about working your way towards becoming a skilled guitarist. The same holds true with learning any kind of instrument.

Beginner guitar lessons will help keep you motivated and ensure that you develop skills at a steady rate, one that challenges you and that is reasonable. It all depends on which type of training course is best for you. There are so many types of courses, how do you know which one is the best? Most likely, multiple programs will work for you. All you need to know is how to separate the good from the bad.

For most beginners, when considering guitar playing lessons, the first thing that comes to mind is private lessons. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this and I’ll tell you three reasons why:

1.    Private lessons are very expensive. On average we’re talking $16 for a 30 minute lesson at 2 lessons per week. This works out at $150 a month or more.

2.    Private lessons have a biased instructor. You’re better off with a source that guides you step-by-step through all the lessons without steering you into a genre or method based on his/her personal tastes. Learning from a human has other flaws. If the instructor should be in a bad mood or just lack motivation one day, you will still be charged for that session and not learn as much.

3.    Personal lessons may teach multiple students. If this is the case, the more students taught at once, the harder it will be to get the one-on-one attention you need. Sometimes, a period of 30 minutes isn’t long enough to answer all the students’ questions or give them individual help as needed.

Home study courses and beginner guitar lessons online are fantastic since they allow you to learn at your own pace. They are far cheaper than taking private lessons ($150 per month and up), but are about the same quality as receiving training from a personal instructor. What you get out of these courses depends on what you put into them.

Learn and Master Guitar
is one of my favorite ways to learn guitar lessons and I strongly recommend it to any beginner. Not only does it provide plenty of lessons but it also teaches information, proper techniques, and cool tricks all guitarists need to learn. What makes the course fantastic is that it comes with a CD and DVD that correspond with its book. Best of all, it only charges a fee of $119 ONCE! Now that’s less than what the lead guitarist in my old band was paying per month ($150 or more) and the lessons through Learn and Master Guitar take 6 months to complete. Finally, it’s basically a course just like that offered by a private instructor or class.

Another site that’s hard to beat for low cost is Jamorama. What makes them stand out is that they offer 24 beginning guitar lessons for free. I’ve search several other sites and could not find one for much cheaper.
When searching for guitar lessons for beginners online you must look for the following:

·    Reputable author
·    Lessons start out easy then gradually become more difficult
·    A wide variety of lessons and skill levels
·    Allow you to play songs you like and know well
·    It’s easy to follow and makes good sense
·    Provides bottom written music and guitar tabs
·    Teaches exercises, chords, scales, and advanced techniques

Though there may be a lot of beginner guitar lessons online, very few of them are strong and reputable. I’ve tried many of them myself, only to find that they weren’t even worth the money.
So if you’re serious about learning guitar courses online and don’t want to waste time and money, I suggest that you try either Jamorama or Learn and Master Guitar.
