Accessorizing Your Ipod

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

There’s not a person in the whole world who wouldn’t like to be able and take a small ipod along everywhere he or she goes. The small devices help us stay relaxed and connected, and we would like it to be able to sustain any possible functions we have in mind. Because this huge success of the ipod, many other companies tried to copy it, but failed regrettably.

A great small and colorful player is the best choice for any teen that simply needs to stand out. This is why parents are buying thousands of new ipods daily for their kids, as they make a perfect gift for any age, and can also prove very useful. But an ipod without proper accessories is like a beautiful girl dressed in old clothes. This is why you must think ahead and determine what possible uses you might be considering for your small player.

When going on a trip, for business or pleasure, you should never forget you ipod or the ipod mini usb device at home, as you don’t know when you might be needing it. It would be really sad to forget something and remember about it after you’ve already left the house. A simple way to get everything is by making a list with essential accessories, and packing them along with the player a day before you’re trip is planned.

The most incredible thing about these fashionable players is the impact they have on people watching you. It’s like you come from another world, and you posses something everyone wants. No one is watching your hair style anymore, nobody cares anymore about the way you look or if you are a bit too skinny. They all just glance in jealousy at the ipod, in such a way that you might even feel embarrassed and move on.

After you have you ipod safely purchased into your pocket, you should move on to accessory shopping, as they are as you can see, quite essential and important.

Want to learn how to play violin? Well if you have hopes of playing violin like a true maestro in concert, then your going need some formal instruction.

But how will you learn to play violin? You can find a local private coach, teach yourself, or even find violin lessons online. I personally feel the latter is the best choice.

You can learn in the comfort of your own home, and from a professional whose level of experience really could not even be matched by a local teacher. You’ll more than likely learn from a seasoned professional violinist. And with the internet being the way that it is, your probably going to pay much less with online violin lessons than private violin lessons.

Getting violin lessons online isn’t as impersonal as you think. It will feel like one on one private instruction, but at your own pace. And at your kind of price. On average it’s around $30 for a full online violin lesson course. That’s about the cost of one lesson from a private teacher. With everything you need on your computer, it’s much more cost efficient as well as eco friendly by not using paper instruction. Starting to see the benefits?

But Why Learn To Play Violin?

In Europe, traces of the violin can be found as far back as the 9th century., with Asia being the most likely possible origin. It took over 450 years for the violin the reach it’s current form. This is probably in direct relation to the experience string instruments makers acquired over this period.

This instrument has been played in the most beautiful of music halls, directed by the most talented of composers. It’s a classical delight to hear a violinist interpret the feelings of the composer. The violin is an instrument worth learning if any is.

You can easily find some great violin lessons online and you can start learning how to play violin in no time.

Taking A Look At The History Of Karaoke

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

karaoke equipment

In Japan, karaoke serves many roles. It allows the suppressed individual to be a star and expressing him or herself, departing from traditionally-rooted group values, if only for a rare moment. It lets business professionals loosen their ties, let down their hair and unwind after grueling hours in the workplace. It is also a great way for intergenerational communication, as families participate in an enjoyable activity beloved by all. Karaoke machines have been credited with improving national literacy rates too, as the words appear on the screen.

So how did karaoke move from Japanese bars to become embedded into the American culture? In small Japanese enclaves such as San Jose, California’s “Japantown,” little traditional karaoke houses opened up playing Japanese songs on cassette tapes for Japanese patrons to sing along to. The club featured several private 12 ft x 12 ft rooms with pillow seating on the floors and busy hostesses to fills drink orders and runs the karaoke machines. These intimate parties attracted a very narrow audience but gradually the patrons began taking a greater interest in American music, particularly with the rise of pop icons in the 1980s. Simultaneously, Americans became fascinated with Japanese anime like Robotech, cartoons like Transformers and video games like Nintendo. So naturally, the karaoke party was poised for widespread acceptance in American culture too.

At the turn of the millennium, karaoke took on a more serious note in American culture. With the advent of shows like “American Idol,” aspiring talent saw the opportunity to sing karaoke as pop star or rock star practice. In the past, the best singers would occasionally receive a standing ovation, a free drink at the bar or a small pot of prize money. Today, however, singers can get recruited by agents hidden in the audience and awarded with lucrative multi-million-dollar contracts. Everyone enjoys a good sing-a-long these days and Numark was quick to revolutionize karaoke equipment with the KMX01, KMX02 and CDN25+G, which make performances even more professional-sounding.

While there are thousands of karaoke songs to choose from, some reign supreme. Guys should try belting out Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In the USA,” which is a good beginner song that can’t possibly sound any more discordant than the original. To rock out with their inner rockstar, guys should also consider ACDC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long,” Bon Jovi’s “Livin On A Prayer,” Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild,” Motley Crue’s “Girls Girls Girls,” Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar On Me” or Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Popular karaoke tracks for girls include: Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” Gloria Gayner’s “I Will Survive,” No Doubt’s “Just A Girl,” Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” Madonna’s “Like A Virgin,” Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock N Roll,” Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” Shania Twain’s “I Feel Like A Woman,” Britney Spears’ “Womanizer,” Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” Carole King’s “It’s Too Late” or Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walking.”

Marshall, Fender or What?

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

You have bought yourself an instrument whether it be guitar, bass, keyboard or whatever. You are all ready to go onto stadium tours and gross out parties just the little matter of learning to make a noise now. You want that noise to be as loud as possible without fuzz, reverb and feedback so you have to choose an amplifier for your instrument.

What is the best type of musical instrument amplifier to get? Do you go for a big brand name or are you happy with a more modest outlay as long as the amp comes highly recommended? Really you should make your choice based on three main criteria, how you will use it, what power output you want or need and what level are you at.

Firstly, how are you going to use your amp. Let’s say you have a guitar amplifier. Do you want some minor jam sessions with friends or are you practicing alone? Do you live in an apartment and don’t want to annoy the neighbours, or even to annoy the neighbours as they do you! Will the sound be lost in the high ceilings of an old chucrch for your rehearsals. Get higher wattage to get more power usually. A five watt dual speaker may not be enough.

Secondly, is the issue of the output. If your friends’ amps go up to 11, much greater power than yours, you might sound like an echo in the distance compared to them. Could you hack that? Can you live with that small feeling?

Thirdly, you should think about how good you are. There is no need to buy a high end Fender Amp if you are a total beginner because you will not get value for money. If you plan on practicing all hours of the day for eternity maybe but most people have an initial enthusiasm for a few weeks and then practice time drops off a bit.

You should also consider other things when deciding. What accessories would be appropriate for your amplifier? Is your guitar good enough for the amp you are going to buy? When you decide to upgrade will there be a second hand market for your old amp?

Buying an amp is not just a case of looking at the first one that comes into your head and getting it. Careful consideration should be given to this. Because in the end the amplifier you buy should give you years of great use.

Flight 666: Iron Maiden’s finest moment caught on film?

Author: artmaraut13  //  Category: Entertainment

Monday 20th April sees the premiere of the Iron Maiden ‘rockumentary’ ‘flight 666′, as filmed by acclaimed Anthropologist Sam Dunn, director of the well received documentary ‘Metal: a head banger’s journey’.Iron Maiden will be at the premier along with Maiden’s special 7th member, their zombie mascot Eddie.

The film shows the band on the first leg of 2008′s Somewhere back in time tour, where the band flew on their very own plane ‘Ed force one’, to do gigs abroad, which was flown by Maiden frontman and registered pilot Bruce Dickinson. 2008′s tour saw the band go back 20 years, playing material from the classic 1984 Powerslave set, hailed then and now as one of the best tours ever. The tour streched on for 2-3 years throughout the 80s, which came close to driving the band mad. Well worth it though.

The film has already won an award, the ’24 beats per second award’ for best musical documentary this year at the famed South by South West festival in Texas. The movie will also be shown in 42 different countries at Odeon cinemas for one night only, giving Maiden fans who couldnt make the premier a chance to see the movie. The film will be released for general thrashing from May 25th on DVD and Blue Ray -for anyone unlucky enough not to make it down to either screening. Which admittedly, for anyone missing the show, may seem like a long time. Also being released is the soundtrack of the movie -featuring the live tracks from concert footage of the gigs Iron Maiden played during the tour, on cd and picture disc vinyl from the same date.

The film will be shown on Monday April 20th at the Odeon Kensington cinema from 7pm. Need a venue for your London events or events? Go no further.
